French masterpieces for mezzo soprano and organ


If strolling around in the narrow streets of Paris during the 20th century, one might run into one of the great organists and composers portrayed in this program.


Louis Vierne, Gabriel Fauré, Maurice Duruflé, César Franck and Jean Langlais all studied and lived in Paris. In this concert, we focus on how these great musicians were influenced by each other, and how they yet managed to find their own unique style.
